Klaus Wiemer

Klaus Wiemer, Ph.D. received his doctorate in Reproductive Physiology from Louisiana State University. His main interests are in embryo culture systems, improving laboratory outcomes and studying the effects of follicular stimulations on subsequent oocyte as well as embryo quality. He is currently conducting research on developing an embryo morphology grading system that can be used to predict rate and quality of blastocyst development. Other projects include various aspects of oocyte as well as blastocyst vitrification systems. He most recently started his consulting company called KEW Technology. This company provides a full range of services to IVF centers in North America, South America as well as Europe. His company currently oversees over 4,500 IVF cycles annually. Klaus and his family reside in Seattle, Washington and enjoys skiing, fly-fishing and mountaineering. He is happily married and the father of two fine young men.
