John Csokmay, M.D.

Dr. John Csokmay is the Chief of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a staff Reproductive Endocrinologist for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Dr. Csokmay was commissioned in the Army through the reserve officer training corps (ROTC) and received his doctorate in medicine from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS). He completed a residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Tripler Army Medical Center (Hawaii) followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the prestigious National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Csokmay serves as an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at USUHS and he continues to be active with the NIH fellowship. Dr. Csokmay is board certified in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility and OB/GYN. In addition to his academic and education interests, MAJ Csokmay has distinguished himself within the military with multiple awards and through completion of training for Airborne and Air Assault qualification, Expert Field Medical Badge, and Flight Surgery. Dr. Csokmay has published and presented numerous research projects and is currently active in research focusing on improving ART outcomes.
